What materials do you 3D print with?
We currently 3D print our products using PA12-CF (Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber) and ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate). Both are durable engineering-grade materials selected for their strength, reliability, and suitability for demanding applications.
PA12-CF: Our premium material, PA12-CF combines Nylon 12 with carbon fiber reinforcement for excellent rigidity, strength-to-weight ratio, and temperature resistance. It also has very low moisture absorption, helping maintain dimensional stability in changing environments. PA12-CF is an excellent choice when maximum rigidity and structural performance are the priority.
ASA: ASA is a strong, tough, and durable engineering-grade material with excellent resistance to UV exposure, weather, and temperature changes. It provides a rigid, reliable platform designed to withstand regular handling and demanding range use. ASA also gives us the ability to offer our products in a wide variety of color options, making it a great combination of performance, durability, and customization.
Are your products compatible with factory parts, or do they require modification?
Our accessories, such as our chassis systems and scope rails, are designed as direct drop-in upgrades. They are engineered to fit the factory footprint of the specified firearm model with no permanent modifications needed.
Are Layerform Precision products affiliated with the original firearm manufacturers?
No. Layerform Precision is an independent design and manufacturing company. While we build high-precision accessories specifically engineered to fit platforms made by other companies (such as Keystone), we are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by those manufacturers.
Do you sell or share the digital design files? (.STL, .STEP, etc.)
No, we do not sell or distribute our 3D design files. A tremendous amount of proprietary research, development, and field-testing goes into every Layerform Precision product to ensure optimal performance and safety. To protect our intellectual property and maintain the integrity of our brand, our designs are exclusively available as fully finished, physical products shipped directly from our shop.
How durable are 3D-printed shooting accessories in the field?

What are the care and cleaning instructions for PA12-CF parts?
PA12-CF is highly resistant to heat, UV rays, and most standard gun cleaning solvents, oils, and CLP. You can clean your rifle and maintain your gear exactly as you normally would. For general cleanup of dirt or mud, a simple wipe down with a damp cloth is all it takes.
What is your shipping lead time?
Because we refuse to compromise on quality, we do not mass-produce our gear. Every chassis and stock is made-to-order, requiring roughly 16 hours of dedicated print time followed by meticulous hand-finishing and inspection. Because each piece is individually crafted and undergoes strict quality checks before it leaves our shop, please allow 7-21 business days for your order to be completed. We will send you a tracking number the moment your order ships.
